John Robinson, MD, Sudhir Gupta, MD, has been a member of the Avedis Foundation board since the Foundation’s inception in 2012. 

Dr. Robinson is a physician specializing in ophthalmology. He received the Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Kansas, then completed a year of Internal Medicine Residency followed by an Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Oklahoma and McGee Eye Institute. 

Dr. Robinson has served as President, Board Chair, and Finance Committee Chair of the Oklahoma State Medical Association, Secretary Treasurer, Director, and Finance Committee Chair of OSMA Health. He is a Director of the First National Bank in Shawnee and has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine for the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

He is a recipient of the President’s Distinguished Service Award from the Oklahoma State Medical Association and the 2013 Distinguished Service to Ophthalmology Award from the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and a recipient of the Service Above Self Award from Rotary International.
