Avedis Foundation’s Community Grant Writing Program aims to increase the capacity of local nonprofits, educational institutions, and municipalities to fulfill the Foundation’s vision to “measurably improve the health, wellness, and quality of life for the people of Pottawatomie County and its surrounding communities.”

Sara Dame has served as the Community Grant Writer since the inception of Avedis Foundation’s grant writing program in 2016, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise from her experience in the nonprofit sector, which spanned a decade. Under Sara’s leadership, the grant writing program has grown exponentially, surpassing $12M in funding acquired for local nonprofits, schools, and municipalities.

Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Oklahoma, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma. In 2021, she earned a Grant Professional Certification (GPC) from the Grant Professionals Association.

Savy Spratt

Assistant Grant Writer

Savy Spratt joined the Community Grant Writing program in June 2023. In her role as the Assistant Grant Writer, Savy assists nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, community organizations, and city governments by identifying funding sources and submitting competitive requests. She provides additional support through grant research and management services at no cost to community-minded organizations in Pottawatomie, Lincoln, and Seminole Counties. Prior to joining Avedis Foundation, Savy earned a degree in Graphic Design from Oklahoma State University.
