Taylor is one of three appointed Tax Commissioners for the State of Oklahoma. A graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in aviation management and a minor in finance, he is also a licensed pilot and certified aircraft mechanic. Taylor has held leadership positions on the boards of the Oklahoma Energy Producers Alliance, the National Stripper Well Association, and the Seminole Chamber of Commerce. He also served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives (2017–2020) and the State Senate (2020–2024). Zack and his wife, Stephanie, live in Shawnee with their two daughters Alexis and Natalie.
