The groundbreaking ceremony begins at Friday for a project that will create two new foster sibling homes in Pottawatomie County. The public is invited to the ceremony at the new home site across from Rock Creek Baptist Church, at 44900 Hardesty Road, in Shawnee. A reception will immediately follow at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, at 310 N. Beard Ave., in Shawnee.
