Who can apply?

Avedis Foundation supports public agencies, educational institutions, municipalities, and other nonprofit organizations located in Pottawatomie County or nearby communities, including Seminole, Meeker, Chandler, Prague, and Little Axe.

Priority is given to projects that involve collaboration between two or more organizations.

We fund programs that are aligned with our mission of measurably improving the health, wellness, and quality of life for people in our area. Though we are open to all avenues, grants that most often qualify are in the areas of health and wellness, social services, civic and community, and education.
No. Avedis does not provide funding directly to individuals, including for scholarships, personal aid, or private ventures. We fund organizations and partnerships that serve the broader community.

We operate two grant cycles each year, with proposals due January 15 and August 15.  Small grants may be considered more often on a discretionary basis.  Applications must be submitted through our online Grant Management System.

Before applying, we strongly encourage scheduling a meeting with the Avedis Senior Program Director to discuss your project. This helps ensure your proposal is complete and aligns with our mission.

After submission, applications are reviewed by staff and may include a site visit before going to our board for final consideration.

Every grant request is reviewed for eligibility, alignment with Avedis priorities, and potential community impact. Recommendations from staff are presented to the Board of Directors, which makes all final funding decisions.
Yes. We welcome applications from newer or smaller nonprofits that meet eligibility requirements and have strong, well-planned proposals. We especially encourage collaboration with other local partners.
